LaFerrari has decreased
fuel consumption by 40 percent while also providing the highest power output of
any Ferrari thanks to its mild hybrid tendencies. While the greater amount of
LaFerrari’s power comes from a rear mid-mounted Ferrari F140 direct fuel
injected V12 engine with a displacement of 6.3-liters. This engine is supported
by a KERS unit which gives out bursts of additional power.
The top speed for
LaFerrari exceeds 217 mph and is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.4
seconds. According to Ferrari, this particular model has lapped Ferrari’s
Fiorano Test Circuit in 1:19.70, faster than any previous road-legal car that
Ferrari has put out.
